The mission of the Redwood Coast Humane Society is to advocate for the welfare, rights, respect and protection of all animals through care, intervention and education.
MEET OUR CATS
Sno is on a mission to find her purr-fect human companion, and guess what? That could be you! This sunshine-filled fluff bundle is all about fun and playful meows. Ready to drench your home with heaps of love and cozy cuddles, she prefers to be an only pet. Sno thrives in the spotlight and dreams of being your one and only feline friend.
Jupiter is a charming, 6-month-old black kittens overflowing with personality and affection. He’s on the lookout for his forever family eager to share his playful antics and heartwarming purrs. If you long for a devoted companion who delights in cozy cuddles, tranquil moments and mutual gazing out of windows your search may just end here. Jupiter is prepared to bring joy and companionship into a loving home – could that home be yours?
Adopting is one of the best things you can do.
Consider adopting a pet rather than buying. Your adoption reduces the number of pets that go into shelters every year. Also, you improve the lives of the animals by freeing up space.
MEET OUR DOGS
Get ready to emBARK on a journey filled with love, laughter and canine companionship. Meet Bear, an adorable and lively Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mixed breed (DOB August 23, 2023.) These furry friends are guaranteed to steal your heart with wagging tails, playful personalities and even know a few tricks like sitting, laying down and shaking hands! Unfortunately, the shelter is full up and we can't take them in right now. So if you or someone you know is on the lookout for some four-legged fun and unconditional love, contact Tom Hanson at (707) 703-2388 regarding adoption. Tom will help you take the first step toward welcoming these sweet pups into your home. Please consider giving these pups the happily-ever-after they deserve! Help them find their fur-ever homes.
Meet the dashing Woody! This sweet 8-month-old heartthrob is a mix of Bully and Cattle Dog, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Now all this special pup is missing is a loving family with the time and patience for a bubbly, happy-go-lucky teenage pooch with a twist - Woody is deaf. To keep Woody safe, a fenced yard is a must-have accessory. This clever pup has picked up some hand signals and is eager to learn more. He's a pro at walking on a leash and loves to have a rough and tumble playtime with his best shelter buddy, Bear. After spending three months with a foster family, Woody is house-trained and bedtime crate-trained.
If you feel that Woody is the missing puzzle piece in your family, hop onto our website redwoodcoasthumane.org, and submit a "Dog Questionnaire," to start this pawsitively amazing journey with Woody!
Riley, a shepherd mix, came to us as a stray. We hoped to find his owner after a local community member found him on Tan Bark Road. With no response to our outreach, Riley is now fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for somebody new to share his life with. He is about 7 yrs. old., under 40lbs, knows basic commands, house-broken and is a sweet, loving and playful boy. Looking for a new leash in sweet Riley’s life—and hopefully a new family to share it with! He deserves a loving and safe forever home. Do you have room to help Riley go from street puddles to sweet cuddles?
Camella is a happy and exuberant Chocolate Lab/Staffordshire mix. Her shiny eyes and big smile let you know how excited she is to meet new people. Her vet described Camella as a “perfect specimen” with “well defined muscles and a rich chocolate coat.” We just think she is a great girl. Camella will do best as the only pet in the household. A loving forever home with a fenced yard is the perfect setting for this girl. If you have room in your home and heart to give Camella a second chance at a new life full of love and attention, she will return it to you two-fold.
One year old Labrador/Shepherd mixes ready to become part of your active family. They have been fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped by The Redwood Coast Humane Society. They are in need of socialization and leash training, but not an aggressive bone in their bodies. Thunder (male) is the only black remaining, but several male and female blondes are available.
Meet these two beauties "Misty" (grey) and "Ruby" (red) adult (6-7 yr. old) German Shepherds who have recently come under the care of The Redwood Coast Humane Society,” according to Lisa Dundee. "They are now fully up to date on their vaccinations micro-chipped and spayed. If you have a large fenced yard, activity in your step, and love in your heart, Misty and Ruby can fulfill all.
Meet Ke-mo sah-bee “Kemo.” Kemo is a 3 year old American Bully mix. Kemo loves walks and playtime with his people. His big, happy Bully breed smile brings sunshine to any day. This sweet boy takes a minute to get to know but when you do, he is full of love, fun and adventure. Kemo would love to be the only dog in a household with a secure fenced yard to allow him room for his playful personality. Give this boy love and attention and he will be a loyal furever companion.
Calling all dog lovers! Star and Hana, are looking for a new forever home — somewhere with a large, fenced-in yard and a cozy berth indoors for nighttime. “These ladies are middle-aged, well-behaved, and a lot of fun! Imagine the adventures you would have!
